Our Daily Walk

Our daily walk with Jesus is one of the most important parts of being a Christian. The reason is simple. As we walk out where the world is we are watched. You see the problem with the church today is not what we think. We are not being ignored but on the contrary we are being watched all the time and that is why the world has such a bad opinion of us. They see what we really are at work, play, and at home. If we do not live our lives every day as if we are standing right in front of the Lord then that is what they will pick up on and judge all Christians by. So we have to be very careful to act, talk, and live like we are in church. God knows this that is why there are so many references in the Holy word of God about this subject.

Romans 6:4 (KJV)

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Deut 5:33 (KJV)

33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

Psalms 1:1 (KJV)

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Jer 7:23 (KJV)

23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

1 John 1:7 (KJV)

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

With out living our lives as if in front of the Lord all the time how are we to be fruitful? As you can see in the next verse.

Col 1:10 (KJV)

10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

How many of us really are completely honest each and every day and do the right thing? You have to judge yourself on all these counts in your on heart before your on conscience with the Holy Spirit as your council.

Romans 13:13 (KJV)

13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

God does not leave us to complete this task alone but gives us help. As you can see in the following verse. If we walk by faith and watch our steps not to harm anyone else and be honest and fair with those around us, weather they be in Christ or not then well will be showing Christ in us.

Gal 5:16-17 (KJV)

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Now we know that we are to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. So the question should always be, first would I do this to myself. Or would I let myself go hungry for example. This is a great commandment and we should study it to its fullest. You see Jesus did just this for us on the cross. Our lives should be as our example was JESUS CHRIST!

Matt 22:37-40 (KJV)

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

So in closing I would like to leave you with this thought. How hard did the people around you work on there CHRISTIAN LIFE? It was enough to get you to listen to them and come to the Lord. You see our lives will turn people off and will not even listen to us if we do not set down a example as did Jesus Christ. Plus we have to remember our lives teach those that are young in the faith how they should live. Please lets all work hard on this!
