Living in God's Presence
God arranges means for communicating with him.
Exo 25:22
And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
This bench at the front of the church is symbolic of that mercy seat.
When we have to borrow money, or need a doctor, or need a lawyer, Do we go to them on there terms or do they come to us on our terms?
The same applies to God. We need to come to him at this alter. Is he in charge of you life or do you still hold on to that?
God's instructions are always meaningful

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.

And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark with the vail.

And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.

And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.

And thou shalt set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.

And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shalt put water therein.
Exo 40:8
And thou shalt set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate.
Exo 40:9
And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy.
As God is exacting in the tabernacle furnishings, so he expects us to arrange our lives.
GOD is in charge without question!
His law is perfect and he means for us to patteren our lives after it. We should be about our fathers business. This is not something we should take lightly. In fact this is one of the most important things of your life.
He did not set down these laws for his pleasure but for our good and well being as Christians. These laws keep us from harm as well as keep us close to him so he can continue to bless us. Imigne what it would be like if your children obeyed you like you obey the LORD.

Lev 26:2
Ye shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.
Lev 26:3
If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
Lev 26:5
And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.

And I set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.

And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
Lev 26:15
And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
Lev 26:16
I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

Here God says GO TO CHURCH and RESPECT MY HOUSE!
Respect is not a good word for what I am trying to say here but reverence is. I can remember when I went to church as a child and men removed there hats and women wore only dresses. This is not to say that wearing pants by women is wrong. I am only trying to show where people are changing little by little.
HE IS LORD! !
He makes promises here and he will keep these promises! !
He likes to dwell in your heart and in your lives. God Blessed his people in the past and will again if we will only do as he says. But if we do not read on past verse 13.
